Mock Chow Mein
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 onions, diced
- 1 cup celery, sliced
- 2 cups Shirley J Universal Cream Soup & Sauce Mix
- 4 cups water
- 2 teaspoons Shirley J Chicken Bouillon
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 small can water chestnuts, sliced
Preheat oven to 350°. In a large, Dutch oven or ovenproof roasting pan, brown ground beef and drain. In a separate bowl,combine water, Chicken Bouillon, and sauce mix, stir. Add this mixture to the cooked ground beef, stir. Add the remaining ingredients, stir, and cover. Bake at 350° for approximately two hours, stirring often. Serve over crispy Chinese noodles.
